WHO WE ARE

The Williamson Foundation for Music is a private non-profit charitable organization incorporated in 2005. Its founder Kate Williamson strongly believed that young people benefit greatly from support and encouragement in reaching their goals. This Foundation devotes itself to implementing that belief in the field of music, especially classical music, encouraging musicians particularly in circumstances where they will play together. It seeks motivated and passionate young musicians, not necessarily on the professional track, who are eager to further their musical skills. It offers grants of varying amounts to the student’s program of choice, with an emphasis on summer programs. The Foundation also offers student scholarships to several well-established music study programs.

On Equality
The WFM stands with every persecuted human on this Earth, whether they be singled out for the color of their skin, their gender or their cultural differences.  We encourage solutions through music to which everyone should have access.  We are a diverse global community who all share the Earth. The WFM holds a firm belief that every human should be treated as a human- we are one humanity.
